My Passion Continues

You all know my passion is for christian non-profit organizations.  I am lucky enough to have my passion lead me to Friends of Refugees in Clarkston, GA.  I am the Executive Administrator/Bookkeeper for this awesome organization.

You should really check it out!  www.friendsofrefugees.com
Friends of Refugees Mission
Our mission is to care for refugees through relationships and opportunities that provide for their well-being, education and employment as they become contributing members of society.
Every year, thousands of refugees come to the United States seeking a better life. In the early 1990′s, the process of resettling refugees began in the community of Clarkston, GA, a small town located within metro Atlanta. Since this process began, approximately 60,000 refugees have been resettled in this area. With over 150 different ethnic groups represented within and around the city, Clarkston has been named “the most diverse square mile in America” by the New York Times.

Havilla children

These are my beautiful children at the Havilla Orphanage in Kenya, Africa.
Father Joseph and mum Salome are on the front row.

Wow, where have I been?

Wow, has it really been a year and a half since I posted?  Guess I've been busy.

I have been on two mission trips to Kenya and quit my job at BrightPoint September of 2011.  I am also starting a small non-profit business to help children in need around the world.

Please stay tuned.
